Support Stichting Lezen & Schrijven
Maybe you want to create a magazine. Or you have worked on creating your own glossy in the past few weeks. Isn't it great that you are able to do this: write your own text, using your language any way you want.
At first glance, this may seem a somewhat strange remark, but did you know that ten percent of the adult Dutch population has difficulties in reading and writing? People who are functionally illiterate have insufficient reading, writing, and numerical abilities to fully engage in our information society.
This means that they cannot 'just' create a glossy, like you and me. Or read and answer a letter from their local council. Just a few examples. Stichting Lezen & Schrijven aims at further reducing the numbers of functional illiterates in the Netherlands. And we think that is a fantastic goal.
Jilster is happy to support the cause of taking on functional illiteracy. We actively do this by paying attention to the foundation and making our own donation in 2011. Do you want to help too? Start supporting Stichting Lezen & Schrijven. During the ordering procedure for your Jilster magazine you will find an option for making a donation. Your donation will be 100% transfered to Stichting Lezen & Schrijven.
Of course, you can also donate directly to the Stichting Lezen & Schrijven foundation by donating an amount at bank account number 184.108.40.2066 stating ‘Jilster and Stichting Lezen & Schrijven’.
Thank you very much in advance, on behalf of all the people who still have difficulty in reading this text!
